Del LaGrace Volcano is a photographer. They identify as a 'part-time gender terrorist'. Their photography revolves around gender constructions, nature/nurture debates in queer/transgender studies, and their experiences with gender. They refer to themselves as a gender variant visual artist. They were born and raised in California. They then moved to the UK in the early 1980s. In the late 80s-early 90s they were involved in the lesbian club Chain Reaction. They were born intersex. They have identified as non-binary, genderqueer and intersex since 1995.
