1889 moved its Headquarters to Bolton House, 67/71 Russell Square, London
1915 moved Headquarters to Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London
During World War Two the NUT was at Toddington Manor, Gloucestershire, before returning to Hamilton House, London
5 September 2016 the NUT and Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) agreed to merge
February-March 2017 a ballot of both unions took place to gather members approval for a merger. The merger was approved
1 September 2017 the NUT amalgamated with the ATL to form the National Education Union (NEU). The NUT and ATL operated as sections of the NEU
1 January 2019 the NUT and ATL amalgamated, however the NUT retained its identity
1 January 2020 the NUT fully amalgamated into the NEU.
