Description | Neset talks about the choice and meaning of the Her Noise title, her reflections on women's involvement in the experimental music scene, her experiences at The Wire, where women are predominantly perceived as administrators and/or press officers. Neset outlines a strategy that consists in searching for new, less obvious artists as a way to further facilitate networks. She discusses the exhibition at the South London Gallery as engaging with willful, messy and unfinished aesthetics as non-linear and decentered forming inroads into open-ended, non-hierarchical energy. Neset continues to discuss questions of feminist theory, Sadie Plant, bodies without organs, her desire not to define the exhibition, but stresses the need for an awareness of critical theory, and the desire to make/do rather than theorise.
