Description | Jutta discusses her approaches to painting & performance art through subjectivity, performativity and site specificity within an expanded field of cultural production, and notions of hysteria and fetishization, as ways to create body of work. She talks about her long term collaboration with Stephen Perrino, 'Black Bronze' at Swiss Institute in 2002 & 'Club in the Shadow' with Kim Gordon. Koether discusses the difficulties of getting the Club in the Shadow project off the ground, in a space designed by Vitto Aconcci. The installation lasted 5 weeks, and included a video lounge, weekly curated programming, performance space, multi-layered programs, bands, performance, parties.
