DescriptionOver one hundred postcards featuring artwork by Robert Crumb. Coleman accumulated the postcards individually or or as complete sets. Those postcards which are packaged as sets include:

Robert Crumb postcards: a set of 10 different cards. An illustrated envelope of black and white postcards taken from various Crumb illustrations and comics

Mr Natural postcard book: card board book of colour postcards featuring Crumb's Mr Natural character

R Crumb's Mr Natural: cardboard box full of 20 black and white and colour postcards featuring Mr Natural

R Crumb's Fritz the Cat: cardboard box full of 20 black and white and colour postcards featuring Crumb's Fritz the Cat character

Six Nudes with Baguettes: six postcards of six nudes with baguettes drawn by Crum, Aline Kominsky-Crumb, L Mattotti, Pete Poplaski, Art Speigelman and Frank Stack. Crumb has designed the cover and lettering for the set.

The rest of postcards have either been acquired individually or have been removed from other sets. They are black and whtie and colour and represent a range of the artist's characters, various styles and subject matters.It is likely that some of these postcards are rare. One notable set of postcards advertise the 'Crumb' documentary by Terry Zwigoff. These are the only postcards to have correspondence written on them between Coleman and friends. In these exchanges they discuss going to watch the documentary together.
