DescriptionThis file contains a variety of documentation relating to 'Japanorama', a touring showcase of underground japanese music curated by Otomo Yoshihide and produced by the London Musicians' Collective in association with The Wire and The Arts Council of England. Musicians in Japanorama were Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M., Yasukatsu Oshima, Haco, Ishikawa Ko, Yagi Michiyo, Toshimaru Nakamura, Taku Sugimoto, Furuta Mari and Keita Egami. The tour took place in January 2001 and travelled throughout the United Kingdom, giving concerts int the following cities - Exeter, Brighton, Colchester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Oxford, Sheffield and Kendal.

Includes programme notes from the different venues Japanorama took place in, newspaper clippings reviewing the events, correspondence between Ed Baxter and Japanorama musicians, contact details for a 'Japan Cultivation Mail out', tests for posters, logos and t-shirts for the Japanorama tour, pamphlets about Keita Egami's artwork, handwritten notes which map out the relationship between traditional Japanese music and new music in Japan. Alongside all of this are selected photographs of Yasukatsu Oshima and Ishikawa Ko and other unidentified musicians.

Also in this file, in a plastic sleeve, are budgets from issue 4.2 of Resonance Magazine.

Seemingly out of place, this file also includes Volume 8 Number 1 and Volume 9 Number 2 of Resonance Magazine, programe notes for Resonance FM broadcast from John Peel's Meltdown Festival and issues 11, 12 and 13 of Variant Magazine, all from 1992.
