DescriptionFile contains post-production and publicity monitoring from Spartacus, and general business correspondence. The material relating to Spartacus include: Seven handwritten tallys of comments made by media about the film including the good and bad; A newspaper article cutting titled 'Spartacus Previewed in the Mysterious East Bay' from 'S.F. News Call Bulletin', dated 1 July 1960; And a document titled 'March 2, 1960 Cutting Notes' which is three pages of typed and annotated post production notes for Spartacus. Among the personal and business correspondence includes: Four letters from Niels Larsen dated throughout 1960; Letters from Martin Russ with Stanley Kubricks’s reply. The other letters are congratulating Kubrick on his work [Specifically Lolita and Spartacus] or arranging visits with acquaintances. Also included in the file is an envelope of miscellaneous expense recipts, press cuttings [no connection could be found between the articles content and Kubrick], a typed complete credit list for 'The Great War, seven small and unsigned pencil portraits, And a leaflet for the History Book Club Review.
