Prints, draft panel text, exhibition plans and hire forms relating to the planning, organisation and publicity for the 1979 exhibition, 'Visions of the Blind, led by Pierre Coutanche'. The exhibition featured photographs made by blind and visually impaired children, as part of workshops led by photographer Pierre Coutanche at Linden Lodge School, Wimbledon in March 1977. Workshops covered camera handling, as well as development and printing of photographs. Draft panel text includes Coutanche's account of the workshop process and reflections on the children's photographic work, as well as broader reflections on the benefits of blind people engaging with photographic practice, despite prejudice and limits to access. |
