| Description | Prints, cuttings, press release, loan forms, panel text and booklet relating to 'Japanese Freestyle', an exhibition by Glyn Williams. The exhibition featured Williams' personal look at a group of people living and working together on Sado island, one of Japan's largest islands that lies off the coast of Niigata Prefecture in the Japan Sea. Included in the folder is a booklet titled 'Ondeko-za', printed by Éditions Ilyfunet (the Franco-Japanese Exchange Committee) which includes Williams' prints along with captions translated into Japanese, English and French.
The exhibition was hired for loan by various organisations and galleries, including the Red Yellow Blue, Chapter Arts Centre, City & East London College [now merged into Capital City College Group as of 2026], Institute of Education London, Holborn Library London, The Palace Theatre in Newark and Magnum Leisure Centre. |
