DescriptionEmma Hedditch was one of the seven main commissioned artists but her participation in the overall Her Noise project displayed a much deeper level of involvement. Included here is most of the material development for the Archive at the South London Gallery, from the early discussions with De Geuzen who were originally commissioned to research and present the Archive, to the development of the zine archive and budgets and funding applications including the application for the Her Noise Archive at the Bergen Kunsthalle in 2006. Also catalogued are images and texts of Hedditch’s previous creative practice.

Individual or organisational biographyHedditch's background as an experimental film-maker combined with her involvement in the Cinenova archive is not only evidenced through the selection of historically important feminist, gay and lesbian films included in the Her Noise Archive, but also led to her editing the Her Noise interviews. Unfortunately, after extensive use between 2005 and 2010, many of these DVDs were damaged and the original files lost. What is left of this process of editing is contained largely in this file, HN/2/1/1/07 which contains many clips and samples that were used for the final documentary in 2006, Her Noise: The Making Of.
