TitleChicks on Speed
DescriptionChicks on Speed was formed in Munich in 1997, when members Melissa Logan, Kiki Moorse and Alex Murray-Leslie met at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. In this interview they discuss systems of battering as an example of how things could be different, methods of working in the music industry in which the artist has control over their own content to avoid exploitation. They discuss how the band formed and how feminism was automatically implied because they are an all female group. This external categorisation has made them more aware of their position as women and as a result, their feminist agenda is not to explain, but rather to redefine feminism through their actions. They discuss the establishment of their name and past work that they have had to do before becoming successful as Chicks On Speed. UNEDITED MINI DV INTERVIEW HN/1/3/27
