TitleErase Errata/Men in Experimental Music
DescriptionUnedited live performance, interview & discussion between band members of Erase Errata at the ICA London.
Erase Errata live at the ICA, & interview. • Men In Experimental Music: Interview with Jim
O’ Rourke. • Men in Experimental Music: Interview with Thurston Moore. Both O'Rourke
and Moore are asked questions that are normally asked of women artists/performers and
musicians, whether they feel marginalised as men, if they find it frustrating that
interviewers always comment on their appearance, how they respond as sex symbols.
Jim O'Rourke's takes on the persona of a woman to answer the questions, and Thurston
Moore discusses these issues with Kim Gordon. See also (previous ref nos) HN/1/3/19 for Erase Errata,
HN/1/3/34 for Jim O'Rourke-Interview of Jim O'Rourke for the Her Noise Archive by Kim Gordon. Jim is asked
gendered questions that are not normally asked of male musicians, but more often than
not are asked of women musicians, for example: why are women not record collectors
and how does it feel to have your performances and work constantly judged upon your
being female., HN/1/3/35 for Thurston Moore-Thurston Moore Interview, Kim Ironing backstage, Sonic Youth Live @ Royal Festival Hall
