DescriptionThis sub-fonds contains records created by and owned by the College when it was the London College of Printing from 1962 to 1990. It contains prospectuses, administrative material, staff and student materials, course material, publications, items on events and press cuttings. It also includes books, journals, reports and publications acquired by its Library department for the use of its staff and students as well as for teaching purposes.

Individual or organisational biographyIn 1962 the London School of Printing moved to a brand new building in Elephant and Castle and the institution's name was changed to the London College of Printing (LCP). The building was officially opened in 1964 by Sir Isaac Hayward and was expanded in 1973 with the building of the design and management block.

In 1990 the college merged with the College of Distributive Trades and became the London College of Printing and Distributive Trades. In 1996 the college was renamed the London College of Printing again temporarily, thus items created and owned by the college post 1990 are arranged under LCC/4.
