| Description | Brown Wallet E contains undeveloped story ideas, scripts and outlines from Stanley Kubrick's early career. The notes show how Kubrick imagined stories and plots, many of which were handwritten. The longer, typed outlines and scripts been sent to studios as a proposal for a film project. The original brown wallet folder was removed due to conservation reasons; however, it had the label 'Old Story Ideas & Outlines 1954-1956'. The date range given on the original label has informed dating of the undated material in this subseries. There is also magazine and newspaper cutting throughout, possibly used for story research. The order and original file casings, annotated with titles by Kubrick, have been kept the same. |
