Included are materials about the BBC Film Club in 1972 and 1973 where Dr Strangelove, The Killing, Killer's Kiss and Paths of Glory were shown; the Malcolm MacDowell season in Russia and the request for a Clockwork Orange screen; the 4th International Film Festival in Moscow in 1965 and the invitation to Kubrick to be a guest of honour; and the 54th Venice Film Festival in 1997, where Kubrick was awarded the Lifetime Achievement and his films were screened. |
