TitleShooting Reports
DescriptionHandwritten reports of special effects, including details of exposures, camera negative reports and film processing reports. Box five includes departmental memoranda from Ray Lovejoy and Stanley Kubrick, while box six includes pictures of work on the 55 inch Discovery model. Box eight includes notes on the shooting of the Clavius Base landing pad, as well as on the Discovery maintenance pod. Box 11 holds two folders featuring sketches and polaroids of an alien creature, as well as a file of 'Polka Dot' Man. Reports on the Moonbus in three different setups are in box 12. Box 17 includes a reference to a take from Shepperton Studios on 31 December 1965, during the filming of the TMA-1 excavation pit scene, while box 18 includes notes by visual effects designer Colin Cantwell on shots of Jupiter and its Moons.
