Description	Technical outline of the slit scan photographic technique, which is also described as animated streak photography. Includes attached diagrams, demonstrating the progression of this photographic technique in producing a photographic image. The technique was designed by Douglas Trumbull (Special Effects Supervisor on 2001: A Space Odyssey) for filming the 'stargate' sequence of the film.
