Description | This file contains three different documents.
A single, photocopied page of script, numbered page 24, from the 'O'Reilly House' scene. The page is covered with handwritten annotations possibly written by Kubrick. The script involves a conversation between Barry, who is here named 'Roderick', and 'Captain/Mr O'Reilly'.
The next sheet of paper potentially is related to the above document. It has the header 'Insert A for page 25' and 'Roderick' and 'Captain/Mr O'Reilly' are speaking. However, compared to the above document, the layout and typeface are different so presumably the two passages of script were written separately. This page of script contains various handwritten annotations written different coloured pens.
The last document is a single sheet which contains two letters which are dated 1787. Around these letters are speech marks perhaps suggesting they were drafts for a voiceover. The first letter is written by a dying 'condemned prisoner' 'John Smith' and is addressed to his wife with instructions for how he should be treated during his oncoming his death. Presumably both letters were written by the same character, despite the second letter being anonymous. The second letter also discusses the speaker's death. The typist of both these letters has added a few corrections with a typewriter. |
