Description | One bound copy of the third draft screenplay credited to Stanley Kubrick, Jim Thompson and Calder Willingham. The screenplay includes a happy ending where the men due to be executed are given a reprieve [According to his auto biography the script was rejected by Kirk Douglas who had preferred an earlier version presented to him in the United States]. Pages 74, 77 and 78 have been torn from the script (covers some of the firing squad sequence and an exterior stables scene) and there are missing page(s) from the end. |
