| Description | Two boxes of 10" x 8" production stills taken on the set of the film. The photographs include behind the scenes shots showing cast and crew working or resting, action shots showing scenes from the film as they were being shot and identity shots of the main cast members in costume. There are images of Kubrick working and Kirk Douglas arriving in Munich. There are also images of the cast doing publicity work such as Kirk Douglas meeting Boy Scouts. Many of the photographs are duplicated.
The photographs are all numbered on the reverse, each reference number begins with the letters PG. These numbers match the stills to the contact sheets in SK/8/8/4 They are also all stamped with the photographer's name and contact details.
In box 1 there is also a cropped photograph of James B Harris and Stanley Kubrick standing by a film camera taken by Georg Schodl. |
