[In 1957 Dickinson made Blue Vanguard, a film about the creation of the United Nations Emergency Force [UNEF] in response to the Suez Crisis that emerged after Britain, Israel and France invaded Egypt. The film was produced by the National Film Board of Canada, but was never shown - distribution was abandoned after objections received from France, Israel and Britain. The film was directed and written by Ian MacNeill, and produced by Tom Daly, with Dickinson in charge of production.] |
