DescriptionThe file contains 14 letters from Captain Matthew Cope, the General Secretary of the A.C.T, and 7 letters from George H. Elvin, one of which mentions the resignation of Cope and the appointment of Elvin as the new General Secretary. These letters address the general working details of the A.C.T, such as arranging meetings, setting up a film and lecture programme, or addressing employment grading issues. Some letters have attachments, for example, an A.C.T questionnaire, or amendments made to the membership rules. There is also a draft letter written by Thorold Dickinson on behalf on the A.C.T regarding the possibility of the members studying feature films for the potential improvement of relations between distributors and producers, and an unaddressed and unauthored letter stating the positive impact Elvin had on the A.C.T.
