Description | The poster contains information about the lecture on 22 May 1974 by Paul R Major. The central image features a circular portrait photograph of Fox Talbot [1800-1877, the inventor of the negative / positive photographic process] in the 'sight' of an abstract pedestal camera in block colours of red, white and black. The camera is built from circular, square and rectangular shapes giving it the appearance of a collage. The background colour is white. Measures, 73.5cm by 48cm. |
