DescriptionMichael Leuing (2 June 1945), typically referred to as Leunig (his signature on his cartoons), is an Australian cartoonist, poet and cultural commentator. His best known works include The Adventures of Vasco Pyjama and the Curly Flats series. He was declared an Australian Living Treasure by the National Trust of Australia in 1999. Coleman was an avid collector of Leuing's work and accumulated an almost comprehensive collection of the cartoonists work. Unlike the majority of artists collected by Coleman, Leuing's work often incorporates political and social commentary into his work.

Mary Leuing (1950) is an . Australian cartoonist and illustrator. She is the sister of Austrailian cartoonist Michael Leuing. In keeping with Coleman's interest in female or feminist cartoonists and artists, Leuing's published work often provide commentary on women's internal lives. Working in a colourful picture-book style usually reserved for children's literature, Leuing's illustrations contrast with often more adult themes. Whilst primarily working as a commercial artists, Coleman has collected a thorough bibliography of Leunigs more personal publications.
