The file contains a letter from Colin Campbell [journalist for Psychology Today] asking ‘Who was Strangelove based on?’ Stanley Kubrick’s handwritten reply on reverse states that no one inspired the character. The file also contains a series of correspondence between Stanley Kubrick and Eric Lebowicz [Journalist at The New York Times] regarding a statement from Kubrick about Dr Strangelove and the doomsday machine specifically. Kubrick's statement is included in the correspondence.
