Title	Draft Novel Text (Patchwork Text)
Description	Annotated draft of the novel which would become 2001: A Space Odyssey on loose sheets of paper. The file is made up of a patchwork of different texts, this is signified by the repetition of some sections of the text in different places and sometimes on different types of paper. Some additions were typed onto strips of paper and previously stuck in place onto an existing page. Throughout the text there are changes in scene and page numbering and changes, crossings out and additional annotations [probably by Arthur C. Clarke]. [This item was probably put together later than the bound copies Journey Beyond the Stars at SK/12/1/1/3 as it includes the foreword which appears in the published novel however the texts included vary so the dating is uncertain]. The text contains 55 chapters.
