DescriptionThis series is composed largely of correspondence, covering the development and implementation of product placement ideas for use in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Generally the correspondence files are between Roger Caras [American Publicity Representative and Vice President of Polaris Productions Inc.] and American and British companies either requesting the loan of already existing items or commissioning new designs so as to assist in creating an authentic vision of the future, as well as setting terms for promotional tie-ins upon the theatrical release of the film.
The files are arranged alphabetically usually by the name of the company consulted. All file titles are original.
