TitleStock footage of aeroplanes
DescriptionMaterial related to the securing of footage of Continental Airlines DC-10 aeroplanes in flight. This footage was used for the scenes in which Dick Hallorann travels from Miami to Colorado after being psychically 'called' by Danny Torrance. Material includes three files:
One file found in folder labelled 'D.C. 10 Library Footage', one file found in folder labelled 'Continental', and one file found in folder labelled 'McDonnell Douglas'. Includes correspondence between Continental Airlines and Shining team regarding the footage of a McDonnal Douglas-manufactured Continental DC-10 aeroplane, invoices for costs regarding work on the stock footage, notification of receipt of film reel containing stock aeroplane footage. McDonnal Douglas file contains original folder.
