DescriptionInstructional colour lithograph poster design by Tom Eckerlsey for the General Post Office. the poster features an abstract pantomime horse in lime green and red. The poster features the slogan 'be the first not last' across its body, a letter in its mouth and a parcel under its tail, dated 1955.

The additional slogan below the horse design states 'Travel early shop early post early' as a footer, with each portion in a different colour text.

The poster has a background of magenta with the appearance of brush strokes.

A logo for the General Post Office features in the bottom left corner and Eckersley's signature is featured in the top right corner. Printed by SP Co [?].
