TitleHeather Simms
DescriptionScreenplay titled 'Tell Us About It', which is based on Heather Simms' real life experience on the MA in Screenwriting Course at London College of Communication 2006-2008'. The screenplay tells the story of Heather's time studying Screenwriting, beginning with her arrival at the College for an interview in October 2005. It addresses the challenges she faced, focusing largely on trying to balance studying with being a single mother to two children, with a lack of support and understanding from her tutors, who expected her to prioritise her studies over her children's well-being. She writes of her contemplating leaving the course due to this lack of support, and addresses the fact that single parents drop out of university more than any other group of students. As the screenplay progresses, Heather writes of her decision become stronger, and stop always helping others, and where necessary to put her children first. She also writes of her positive relationship with her classmates, some of the younger student's lack of commitment, her growth in confidence due to successful pitches and reports. The screenplay ends with Heather playing happily with her children. On the title page of the screenplay are contact details for Heather's agent at the Blake Friedman Literary Agency.
