In July 1918 Walsh had begun as an apprentice at Jordans, the company which Hazell, Watson and Viney Ltd had bought out in 1928-1929. Walsh continued working there after the buyout and returned working their after his War Service. Walsh had been in their employ for nearly 46 years.</dc:description>
