  <dc:description>This file contains items accumulated by Hubert Foss in the course of his membership of the Double Crown Club, including Double Crown Club rule books with rolls of members, club dinner and meeting invitations, menus and booklets to accompany speeches and New Years greetings cards sent to club members by The Merrymount Press. The bulk of items span the period beginning with the foundation of the club in 1924 and ending with Hubert Foss' death in 1953, but also included are two items added after Foss' death.

The set of menus is relatively complete up until the 55th dinner, with only those for the 6th, 19th, 23rd, 25th, 30th, 37th, 38th and 39th missing, but after that comprises less frequent specimens, including those marking special occasions.</dc:description>
