  <dc:description>Anne Maile was a textile designer specialising in tie-dye techniques. The Anne Maile archive consists of textile samples and technique notes, artworks, Maile's student work, notebooks, teaching notes, research notes, an autobiography, films, photographs and slides. Maile studied at Camberwell College of Arts in 1950, where she was introduced to tie-dye by her lecturer. She held exhibitions of her work at Foyles Art Gallery, and also wrote and published five books on tie-dye techniques including: Tie and dye as a present day craft.
