  <dc:title>Comic books</dc:title>
<dc:description>Comic books purchased by Martin Barker and given to him during his research for his book A Haunt of Fears. These comics are largely those viewed as problematic by the Comics Campaign Council.

Some of the comics in this series belonged to members of the council who gifted them to Barker during interviews and research he undertook into the topic. Some of these comics were used as examples in articles, newspapers, exhibitions and conferences as to why horror comics should be banned. Some of the comics are American and British originals, whereas others are later reprints.</dc:description>
