Blobbing Report Book - Daily Sheets Reports on the daily progress made by the paint and trace, or 'blobbing' department. This is a slang term used by the team's production department to refer to a 'holdout matte' or 'blob' used to matte or mask out a foreground object from a star background so that when the images are combined the stars will not show through the foreground object, such as a spaceship or astronaut on a spacewalk. c1966
