Models The file contains material relating to the design and manufacture of models for the film. Includes charts and documents relating to the progress of the model making and filming of the models, list of modellers employed by Hawk Films in 1966 and a questionnaire circulated to potential modellers as to the specifics of their professional experience. Also includes correspondence from Stanley Kubrick to Brian Johncock [now Brian Johnson, Special Effects Assistant on 2001] and other correspondence from Master Models Limited to Ernest Archer (Art Director for the film) regarding the building of the Discovery and Orion III spaceships.
