Anthony Burgess first draft [photocopy] The screenplay varies considerably from Kubrick's own , however like Kubrick's the story ends with Alex waking up cured in hospital [although the scene is explicit in meaning and uses speech from the book] and leaves out the final chapter of the book where you see him reintegrated into the World and reforming under his own volition. One copy is labelled 3 [SK/13/1/5] stamped 8049 on the bottom right hand corner] and contains notes in Kubrick's hand. The other copy is labelled 4 [SK/13/1/5ii stamped 5247 on the bottom right hand corner] and has some sections highlighted with yellow marker. Bound.
