The note is from Micheal Herr to Stanley Kubrick stating that he approves this copy of the script. The first page is a note to Micheal Herr from Stanley Kubrick, dated March 25, 1985. The second page is page 1 of the script starting in Parris Island, 1967. Each page has a small 'S' or date in the bottom right hand corner, the dates are in the American formatt mm/dd/yy. Next to the typed letter or date on each page is the initials 'M.H' which suggests it is Herr agreeing to each page as it was. 25 Mar 1985
