'Memos etc' The title is slightly misleading as it does not only include memos. The file contains Foley [sound effects ie sounds that synchronize on screen] checks on rough dubbing of sound, sound editing notes and lists of printed wild tracks [non-synchronised sound]. There are also memo's to the sound department, mainly hand written, filed by who received them: these include notes on where Kubrick wishes to try techniques such as dissolves, checks to synchronisation and checks on sound dubbing. 1986-1987
