  <dc:description>Contains programmes for events relating to the British Film Institute, including a 'Programme for the opening of The National Film Theatre South Bank of the Thames', dated 15 Oct 1957.  The programme contains short articles rather than a schedule for the opening event.  Film season programmes include the Fourtth London Film Festival,  the Free Cinema, Sixty Years of Cinema, British Comedy of the 30's, Satire and a programme from 1969 with seasons such as 'Spectalculars', 'Cornerstones' and 'A Director's Work'.  There is also an exhibition programme for 'The Observer' film exhibition, which took place in 1956, a programme for the BFI's Experimental Production Committee, and a prospectus for The National Film School, dated 1972.</dc:description>
