Ernest Allen was educated in Canterbury, worked in the printing industry before joining the teaching staff at St Brides Institute Printing School. He was transferred to Stamford Street when the school became known as the London School of Printing and Kindred Trades, and appointed Vice Principal of the school, a post he held until his retirement in Jan 1956. He passed away in Sep 1956.
