The Polysnappers were Mary Ann Kennedy, Jane Munro, Charlotte Pembrey and Jo Spence. They met at the Polytechnic of Central London (PCL), where Jo Spence had enrolled as a mature student in 1979. [The photography theorist Victor Burgin was teaching there at that time Jo Spence and possibly others studied with him]. The exhibition 'Family, Fantasy, Photography' was their degree show, and they founded themselves as a group at that point, touring this show with Cockpit Gallery, Holborn.
