DescriptionThe earlier trading card sets in this file were produced by Yazoo Records in the 1980s. Originally they had attached the cards individually alongside reissues before eventually selling them in sets like these ones collected by Coleman. The later trading card set was produced by Oog and Blik who often published work relating to Crumb's music themed artwork and design. Crumb was a fan of golden era American jazz, blues and country, and these musical genres were consistent themes in his comics and artwork. It is likely that Coleman primarily derived interest in these items for their artwork and design over their muscial content.
