The comics are based around the abuse Drechsler experienced as a child and predominantly centre around a girl called Lily, and include themes relating to sexual abuse, adolescence and relationships. The end of the book also contains a page about the author which includes her photograph. The arts style has a strong use of shading techniques which creates a dark aesthetic.
