DescriptionPoster designs of various sizes to advertise the film during its release in France.

The majority of the posters have a simple design of a white cross on a black background. A triangle of white emits from the cross down and to the left as if it were a negative of a cast shadow. At the bottom of the beam and on a white background beneath the beam is the film title 'Les Sentiers De La Gloire' with a medal covering part of the L and O in Gloire. Below the title is further information about the film such as the stars and producer. At the top of the poster in white within the black background is 'Un Film De Stanley Kubrick'.

Three of the posters have the film festival title stuck on underneath 'Stanley Kubrick'.

One of the posters has handwritten notes in French [not Kubrick's hand] at the top.

One of the designs is landscape rather than portrait, contains just the basic cross and beam image along with the film title and is mounted on board.

There are two large posters where the medal design is in colour. The first is the same as the other Paths of Glory posters, the second has the film title within a film strip design with the film festival title in larger type also within the film strip design.

The file also includes one small poster/lobby card for 'Portier De Nuit' [The Night Porter which was shown during the same French film festival that Paths of Glory was released].
