ActivityJim Northover (born 1946) is a graphic designer and co-founder of the design consultancy, Lloyd Northover.

Northover studied at Kingston College of Art (now Kingston University) and the London College of Printing (now London College of Communication), graduating with a first class honours degree. Northover met John Lloyd while studying at the London College of Printing between 1965 and 1968. During this time, Lloyd and Northover collaborated on several projects together, before working for various design businesses after graduating.

In 1975, Northover and Lloyd set up their own design consultancy, Lloyd Northover. Lloyd Northover produced designs for arts organisations such as Royal Shakespeare Company, large corporations such as John Lewis and Partners and British Rail, and international projects.

Since stepping away from Lloyd Northover, Northover has been Director of Jim Northover Limited, working on brand strategy, writing and consultancy. He holds an MA in Design Writing Criticism from the University of the Arts London, and in 2021 was awarded Honorary Fellowship of the International Society of Typographic Designers for typographic achievement.
