Title'A Student Printer' by Leonard William Power

School of Photoengraving and Lithography with thanks and sincere good wishes, Leonard Power - 7 July 1948." The other volume is inscribed on the second page is 'To Mr. H.O. Smith with thanks and sincere good wishes LW Power 1 Jul 1948'.

Power had served in the British Armed Forces before being given special permission to leave so he could enhance his knowledge and skills of printing. Power studied jointly at the London School of Printing and Kindred Trades and at the London County Council School of Photo-Engraving and Lithography (Bolt Court) from 1945-1948. The front is embossed 'H.O.S'. Smith was a Lecturer in the Monotype Department at the LSPKT.
