DescriptionThis package contained a numerous items, with the vast majority being newspaper and magazine clippings relating to Zograf and his work. Zograf has annotated some of the pages describing their provenance. Additionally Zograf has included two Serbian reproductions of Donald McGill postcards. Topics discussed in the letter include Zograf expressing happiness that Coleman's favourite word is 'Poetry' [in relation to the artwork he sent him], gratitude for Penguin postcards Coleman sent him and surprise that Coleman acquired some original Hogarth prints. Zograf also mentions visiting Jim Woodring's home, acquiring original Milt Gross drawings and receiving an original print from Chris Ware. Zograf signs off with 'Best wishes in 2008'. [Envelope enclosed; features annotations of note by Coleman on the back. Possible draft aphorisms by Coleman including 'His chances of becoming a household name were rapidly diminishing as he lay there on his deathbed' and 'Millionaires are two a penny'
