DescriptionItems in this sub-series are related to the BBC drama 'The Crezz' a 12-part series which told the story of the residents of a victorian street named Carlisle Crescent, situated in West London.who share communal gardens but little sense of community spirit. Exton wrote scripts for the following episodes: Night Manouvers, The Battle for Harley Street, The Spanish Succession, as well as one untitled episode that appears in the material with the handwritten notation 'BBC Reject.'
Further scripts of the series were written by Willis Hall (Billy Liar, Budgie) William Trevor (Play For Today) and Alick Rowe (Morgan's Boy, The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie). The Crezz had a high-profile ensemble cast that includes stand-out performances from Joss Ackland, Peter Bowles and Nicholas Ball.

The focal point for `the Crezz' is the Gardens Committee chaired by lecturer Charles Bronte (Ackland). Although desperately keen to create a sensecommunity among his neighbours, he is often forced to mediate in the disputes that arise among the Crescent's residents. Resentment, rivalry and jealousy are more common than any sense of community cohesion. Recorded in the summer of 1976, it is often considered a great tv disasters of the 70s, THE CREZZ launched with a TV TIMES cover. The show lasted five weeks in it's Thursday 8pm slot, before being shunted to after the NEWS AT TEN for the remaining episodes
