TitleLocation scouting slides
DescriptionThe film was to be shot entirely on location in the UK [see letter SK/13/2/1/16] but in the final instance the Korova was shot on set [Ronnie Scotts, Soho having been rejected as suitable]. The slides are on sheets numbered 1-694 [incomplete run] with the location name written on the side. The numbered sequence has been retained but each new location has been divided into a file, the title of each file corresponds to the location title on the slide sheets. There are some slides that are unnumbered but have location names, these have been added at the end of Kubrick's slide sequence and are divided by location. Colour, processed by Kodak.

Some labels mention John Barry [production designer] by full name or initials. The majority are locations in London and Hertfordshire, UK.

There are also index cards, by location name with associated slide sheet numbers and the date images were taken.

In the extent field item relates to the number of slide sheets.
